Project Accessibility: Creating inclusive spaces for mental wellness

As we near the end of 2024 and look to the new growth that 2025 will bring, our goal is to continue to be a valuable, accessible, and hopeful resource for family caregivers in Western Pennsylvania.

We’ve identified 4 main projects that will help us reach a wider range of caregivers seeking mental health support, and we’d appreciate YOUR participation to help bring them to life!

ADA-compliant Garden Access at Hope Grows
Installation of ramps, handrails, and smooth pathways throughout the property to ensure equal access for those with mobility challenges. This project will also include construction of a wheelchair accessible restroom at the Iris Respite House. DONATE NOW – YOUR GIFT WILL BE MATCHED!

Digital Resources & Programming
Expanding our pyscho-educational series to under-resourced communities, this hybrid program will allow for in-person meetups in Pittsburgh, with online educational videos and caregiver toolkits for facilitated groups in surrounding counties. We hope to offer Spanish translations as well! DONATE NOW – YOUR GIFT WILL BE MATCHED!

Nature-Based Activity Kits for Students in Grades K-6
Putting our popular Summer Pollinator Camp activities in a box! These educational kits will allow under-resourced communities to tap into the healing qualities of nature-based learning with our K-6 educational curriculum and accompanying materials. DONATE NOW – YOUR GIFT WILL BE MATCHED!

Virtual Caregiver Mentoring Platform
With the myrid of challenges that family caregivers face, it can be helpful to talk with someone who has “been there.” Our Caregiver2Caregiver virtual mentoring platform will serve as an outlet for socializing and sharing common experiences. DONATE NOW – YOUR GIFT WILL BE MATCHED!
