2nd Annual Victorian Tea a Huge Success
Victorian Tea a Successful Event for Hope Grows!
The 2nd Annual ‘A Victorian Tea’ on May 3, 2015 was a huge success, with an increase of 50% in guest attendance. The venue at the Club at Shadow Lakes provided a beautiful setting along with a sunny and bright day. Tea-Party Goers adorned smiles, hats, and Victorian attire, with the 4 men in attendance also wearing a smile. After introductions a short video was presented with information about Hope Grows and what is on the horizon for programs, counseling, and the continuation of awareness and conversation about the need for caregiver support. Cheryl Sorek, Yoga Instructor provided an introduction to the benefits of yoga for relaxation and Nan Keenan, Inspirational Florigrapher walked us through an arbor of grapes about peace and harmony. With over 39 Chinese Auction items for raffle, guests had their pick at the chance to win events, gift cards, jewelry, purses, wine/spirits, and a Hope Grows Caregiver basket. Guests also had the chance to win 1 of 6 Victorian hats donated by Tana’s Boutique. By purchasing a key that opened the lock, 6 lucky guests now have a hat for next year’s Victorian tea benefit. On behalf of the Board of Directors and myself, a special thank you again to our guests, sponsors, donors, speakers, guitarist, student photographers, artist, bakers, and volunteers.
Here are some pictures from the Victorian tea event provided to us from the Pittsburgh Art Institute student photographers.
